Covid-19 Safety measures

News

The health of our students and tutors is very important to us. We are constantly checking the most up-to-date advice from the Department of Health, as well as from the UK Government regarding the best safety practices during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

Since early March 2020, our face-to-face classes have been transferred to online classes. These have been very successful and we will continue running them for all students who are unable to attend the studio face-to-face.

In mid July 2020 we will open our Chorlton based studio and in late August we will re-open the Manchester City Centre branch too.  In order to make sure everyone is safe, we have taken the following steps:

Staggered lesson times

The instruments are disinfected after each student

A maximum of 3 people are around in the room at any one time (tutor, student, and parent when necessary)

Temperature checks for students and tutors

The communal areas are cleaned with disinfectant several times a day

Hand sanitiser and masks are provided in all studios

Piano students, their parents, and the teachers will be required to wear a mask

Singing students and teachers will keep a distance of 3+ metres during classes

Windows will be opened at all times to allow fresh air into the rooms

Music books will not be shared in order to avoid unnecessary contact

Students will be required to inform the studio as soon as they develop any relevant symptoms or if they have been in contact with any coronavirus cases

The classes will continue online for everyone who is unable to attend our face-to-face classes. We are monitoring the situation very carefully and the safety measures will be updated constantly to ensure everyone is safe.
